So during the week I the notion to run a studio day with a bit of a difference. The aim was practical networking, bringing creatives together over a shoot environment to build connections, and portfolios.
Okay, so the timing was a little off: Champions League final had Cardiff in a little bit of a lockdown, and a lot of those whom I knew, were working the event and hospitality. So turnout wasn't looking promising from the outset.
But, it turned out very well, while numbers were low, a dimension was added:
First time photographing dogs for me!
Next door just happened to be a dog grooming parlour with many willing owners! So wasn't what we had planned, but offered something completely different. But we did have models too!
I absolutely love Kwame's hair!
For photographing the models we had 3-4 zones set up, each with Bowen's lights and a series of different modifiers that could be utilised to create a variety of looks.
The weather also played ball, and gave us beautiful natural light to play with!

We also had cars, and guns to photograph, and use as props. So combination of elements gave us hours of fun and experimentation. Chuck in copious amounts of tea, and Dominoes delivering Pizza, it turned out to be a bloody good day!
